Adoptees Unite (AU) is a global social organization and adoptee support group committed to building a safe and inclusive space for all adoptees, regardless of ethnicity, nationality, ability, or socioeconomic background. As a progressive community, we center marginalized voices and challenge systemic inequalities. Respect, equity, and mutual care are the foundation of our community.

Our Vision:

Adoptees Unite strives to uplift adoptee voices, especially those in marginalized communities, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our community of adoptees. Our goal is to support adoptees through their journey as non-professional peer supporters. We want to give the mic to creators, writers, and leaders within the activist community.Adoptee stories are diverse and we believe they should be heard in order to help the future generation of adoptees. For some adoptees, we may find it difficult to reconnect with our birth culture and the past often burdens us with unanswered questions.One of the goals at Adoptees Unite is to educate others on adoption through adoptee community voices. A future goal of ours is to financially aid adoptees, especially minority adoptees . But for now, we strive to uplift and educate on adoptee voices, experiences, and opinions.Coming out of the adoptee fog may be the scariest and most enlightening journey. Adoptees Unite hopes to help adoptees through their life’s journey as peer supporters so that adoptees can dig deep within themselves and discover their adoptee identity.
